Waste Water Treatment

It is at the other end of the water supply system, though, that the Company has undertaken some of its biggest challenges. The major breakthrough into civil engineering came with the contract to construct Paddock Wood Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW) in 1962 for Tonbridge Rural District Council.

This has since become one of the Company's areas of specific expertise, with high-profile projects including the reconstruction of Scaynes Hill WWTW (£3.6m) and the extension of Uckfield WWTW (£3.1m). More recently the role of principal contractor has been undertaken in a number of joint venture projects with M&E contractors, enabling the provision of a 'one-stop shop' service to Clients.

As part of the Company's commitment to the spirit of partnering on such projects, design input at every stage of construction is offered to help Clients achieve a 'best value' end product whilst meeting their stringent water quality targets.
