The contract was initially to analyse the failing elements of independent sewage treatment systems, respectively serving the Golf Club and the Hotel, and develop proposals to upgrade / replace as required.
We then agreed to take on the dual role of Principal Designer and Principle Contractor to interpret and implement the employer’s requirements, including the following:
- Carry out a detailed Civil and M&E design
- Install and commission a new 12m long 2.5m dia. Klargester sewage treatment plant and associated chambers.
- Decommissioning of the existing sewage treatment plant
- Installation of a new pumping station and directionally drilled rising main from the Halfway House.
- Installation of a new 160,000 litre balancing tank, resistant to chemical attack to BioBubble
- Decommissioning of the existing balancing tank
- Connecting new assets into existing operating systems and commissioning.
